Forest Garden plc

Forest Garden plc is the UK’s largest manufacturer of design solutions for the garden supplying a wide range of Garden Centres, Builders Merchants and DIY outlets. In 2003 Forest Garden plc turnover reached £65million and employed around 500 people.

The History of Forest Garden plc
Forest Garden plc was formed when Forest Fencing bought Larch Lap in 1999. This acquisition was made possible by 3i who became the principle investor in Forest Fencing in 1998.

Forest Garden plc operates out of 4 sites, all based in the UK and comprising of sawmills, manufacturing and treatment operations. The group headquarters are located in Hartlebury, Worcestershire. The remaining sites are located at Eardisley, Sennybridge and Lockerbie.

In 2003 under the guidance of the new Chief Executive, Simon Ashton, Forest Garden plc restructured its operation into two distinct trading divisions:

Breathe was born in Spring 2004 as a forum for design and development at Forest Garden Plc. Aiming to achieve aspiration through inspiration, Breathe brings together the fundamentals of product design and marketing to bring innovative and imaginative solutions to a traditional industry. Taking inspiration from the arts, design students and conceptual thinkers, the initiative breaks down barriers as it breathes new life into the garden timber world.
